There are many difficult subjets through the university, for each one we have to practice a lot to get a good grade or maybe pass the course, one way to fulfill all that pracitice is solving old exams, homework and quices of other semesters, here coming the principles of opennes. Colaboration, be able to give someone a hand, trust on the people and they habilities, consider they individuality, all they can do working hard. Then, Transparency, true useful information and comunicate it in a certain way clearly, trying to wake the people who still stays sleep, is neccesary to make people be interest in participate in new projets. After that, sharing, because one image speaks more than thousand words, give of your personal material, so, if you kown someone who need help with a topic eventually for a exam and you have material, ask him or her if want the help first and then try to work out together, because time is also a valious property, finally, he talks about empowerment, taking this tool from the point of view of knowlegde, not only take the knowledge that other people can give us but also our own knowledge, with the other steps produce more and more. One example of this situation is the exams bank, where are many exams from diferent signatures and years of application

Basically these four principles are the base of any system in the world, for example a government. If costaricans would apply these principles maybe CR should be a developed country, I think the most important one are the transparency and the sharing, the other two are directly related to these, imagine a transparent goverment here in CR (I'm talking about goverment beacuse is the easier example to explain my idea but this is applied to any system of development as an university) all the corruption wouldn't exist and within this also the econimical problems. And the sharing principle applies directly to the people, the costaricans tends to be a individual person about ideas, we don't like to share our ideas because we think that someone will steal us the knowledge and make money with that, so we need to eliminate this behavior and star sharing and empowerment ourselves.
ResponderBorrarThe secret to make people interested in your cause is based in looking for the way to become them involved in that situation, for example if you want to develop a project is better if you try to find some sponsor who could the beneficiary with the results and, of course, have a good speech to convince him/her to help you.
At the begining of the semester one issue showed up for students of Mecatronics, in some courses there was a limited number of students accepted, there were small groups and many other studentsthat coudln't get in this courses, so Mecatronics student association wanted to help this people, they started making lists of each person that needed to register in all of this courses, also they try to spread this to the other students that haven't noticed of the process. After that they explained the things they needed for getting this come true. Then with all this knowledge each student that needed to enter to one course started the process, however the whole people didn't get in the courses they need because sometimes the school that have the course reject everything. However most of the people could get in what they need. First the colaboration by tryng to help the students, then sharing the information about the process, after that explaining what were the reasons of the answers of the schools(aproved or rejected). Finaly the union of these three

Doing this a huge number of students support the idea, so when there's a group reason like this all the people that have the same problem would help. I think the way the student association did all this thing would be a great plan to follow it, in order to trobleshoot some tough issues.
I think that the four principles are very important in both context: the university and the place where I live. For the university I believe that is neccesary for teachers to really share experiences that will help the students in the future rather tan just show a presentation or give a material, as often happens.
ResponderBorrarChange the model of teaching would help to empowerment the students to involve in research and development programs, and to motivate to giving back a few knowledges that they are learning now in the University, at the end is a way to collaborate transparently with the society .
And in the city, I think that it's important to change the "status" of citizens that don't care anything nor anyone, and become active citizens that collaborate as far as possible with others and share your resources and capabilities with people who need it most.
Colaboration, Transparency, sharing, empowerment, words that have been spoken by the pass of the years, and yet we dont apply them to our life. Maybe if we use them in the systems, we might get better results. It is not a myth that many people lose some courses when staying in college, they are trying to to get better result by their own way and someones success, but other fails. A way where a lot of student might get better results is if we use these histories or this examples ( four principles ) and we might help ourselves and other people during college. Getting exams, groups of work and try to wrap all the student that need help.
ResponderBorrarI have always thought that if you know something, and it may help others, share it, whaterver it is. I have always been willing to help, and I think that's one of the steps in order to improve society.
ResponderBorrarHelping is a way to collaborate and share at the same time, for example (in the studies context), when you help or you are helped to study for some exam, you can collaborate to the other person by sharing your knowledge, or the other way around, someone can contribute you by sharing his/her knowledge with you.
Now, if we have the premise that knowledge is empowerment, then helping others by sharing knowldege will make everyone empowered. So helping others and ask for help is a good way to pass the courses easily, for example, which is one of the biggest concerns of the students, mainly with the "difficult" ones.
So my idea or plan, easy one: Help and ask for help, don't feel ashamed of doing it.
The four drivers of openness are very important tools to improve different situations. These four principles: Collaboration, transparency, sharing and empowerment, applied at the same time help the people to be better humans. For example in my community there is a “Community Development Association”, which is responsible for ensuring the safety of the citizens of that community. If in that association everybody helps each other with the collaboration and sharing, it would be a very safe place with few crimes. With a correct distribution of knowledge and the descentralization of power, the community can succeed in creating an environment in which everyone can participate and collaborate in the development and the common good with transparency, which is about the communication and information.
ResponderBorrarThrough meetings, people can inform about the issues that most affect their community and together participate in the search for solutions. But first, people should be motivated to participate actively in this association.
I think that when your studying, spending money is really frecuently. Sometimes, you even have to spend more money than what you have ¿Why? Because per semester each student takes in average 5 different courses and in each course some materials are required, might be books, labs coats, notebooks, paper, electronic components and many other things, depending on which career are you taking. Some of these materials can't be re-use, as the notebooks or paper, but some of them remain as new throughout the semester and when semester finishes are not going to be used again for the rest of the career. The last semester, for example I bought a lab coat that I won't need any more. So, I've been thinking that it would be great to create inside the university a place where you can leave what you won't need, so it could be used by someone else. In this place you could find many second-hand things, so wouldn't have to buy so many things each semester. When you stop needing what you got from this place, you can return it back, so someone else could use it.

Colaboration, because it will be necessary to some students work on this place. Transparency, because to maintain a cycle you will need to return what you took. Sharing because every student shall donate what he won't need anymore, to help someone else. And finally, empowerment because even the most poor student will be able to adquire the materials he needs.
Internet is very important nowadays, if you need help in one of your assignments or in an investigation, you can use internet in the comfort of your house. You could use a Wi-Fi connection or a connection by cable. You could create a blog where people will do a forum and could discuss about different topics; in fact, you can use a webcam and make a video chat to talk about the topic. If people do not know a word or something about this topic, they could use a search engine to look for an online encyclopedia
ResponderBorrarIt is very important understand that we are more powerfull together than alone, we need to create groups of work and we have to began to share our knowledge to them, and let them give their knowledge to us because a person have something that other person need. The openness is very important to introducing our universities to that new world call internet. The openness give us a different way to think and act, that way say to us that we dont need to build boundaries to have success in our job... to have success we need work together, and be creative. In TEC is necesary change the way that the people think and start to have a global and universal mind.
ResponderBorrarMy plan is change the way of teach and learn. Give motivational talks about topics of interest. Begin to open the people mind and show a new huge world, and all the oportunities that they have. And is important invest in more technology for our laboratories and our differents schools.
Collaboration, transparency, sharing and empowerment are the principles, those are so important in the system nowadays. If we want to resolve the problems of the public organzations we need to include it. For example in Tec, one of the courses that are difficult for the students are physics. We can have the collaboration of students to share material and practices for helping others the pass the course, maybe find way to discuss the topics not just for passing the course, also to understand good the things and have the knowledge for the life. And then we can share the knowledge to all the people that need it, the people that don't have the access. And by little steps we can have a better world if we practice the principles for all the situations.
ResponderBorrarFirst of all I would create a group of people for different carrers to find out a solution for the situation. But it is very necessary having at least one person from every career, because probably the problem is attached to every one in TEC. Then is very importante tring to make a solution from the different point of view because we would build a new idea which has a relation with all the opinions from students. In this case, the transparency allow us to create a better idea for improving our life in TEC. Also is very important has a one person that paste this ideas in one action and solution, for this reason is neccesary a leader which gives support to this and explain to other people what we want.
ResponderBorrarFor bringing people together it is very importan that most of the people are going to believe me and support my ideas. Between us we would do a plan for a short period of time and another one for a long period o time, both are neccesary for resolving problems.
We can teach about this concept to people and try to use more in our lifes and teach to the persons that change could be a positive thing and we have to be openmind persons and we have to help between us. So we could create groups in different social networks, do meetings in our neighborhoods, talk to people and give them new ideas and show them, how can affect differents factors in situations.
ResponderBorrarIs difficult try to solve problems in TEC, because all people think that they have reason at all. But I think if you speak with the true, and you are "transparency" in all situacion, independent if the situacion can damage you, you are doing the better to solve it. When you speak with true, and you teaches to the world that, you are sharing a very good behavior and if you apply on TEC all people wants to change, because one of us are doing something well. We know that the problems are everytime around us, but if we work together and everyone collaborated with other, we can be like huge body that works to get something important, not only to get the material things, and is important to know that all people have empowerment, and can change the world. My plan is one by one do this, speaks with the true.
